Food was very tasty. Price to quality and quantity fits the bill. Large portions that taste great. Mocha was really nice too
Slow Cooked Beef Cheek - the beef cheek was tender and flavorful. Loved the blend of kale and spinach, with the rich broth of the beef poured over it. The chunky mashed potato was warm even till the end. Love this dish!
Friendly staff and second level ambiance is a bit “cold”.

Hear much about it so decided to have our lunch there...
Spring Pancake & Fried Chicken - “it’s a very ‘sinful’ dish”, said the serving staff, when I asked her opinion of the dish. Nonetheless I ordered it! I asked the dressing to be separated just in case it was too “sinful” Haha. The signature fried chicken thigh was deep fried till it was crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside. I loved the spices used to marinate the chicken tight fillets. Yummy 😋 You could dip it with the house ranch dressing with a hint of cumin or requested the dressing to be poured all over the fried chicken! The pancake was made from spring onion and corn. It was unique but not really for my liking.
Love the bacon, the eggs and the lobster. The croissant’s not too bad as well.
Juicy chunky meaty mushrooms with creamy flavorful pesto tossed in pasta ; perfection on a plate
Been a while since we visited The Populus and today I finally decided to get something other than The Populus Scramble 😂
I love greens and this was a really really lovely breakfast with tons of superfoods - broccoli, kale, avocado, baby spinach. All the veggies were extremely fresh and crisp! Very impressed. I added on crab meat for $5, which was a good protein addition to an otherwise carb and fat oriented dish. The mix of greens is tossed in a slight citrus and mild vinaigrette, which was super refreshing! Love the addition of brown rice and puffed rice that added some crunch distinct from the crunch of fresh broccoli. All these were arranged beautifully atop a piece of toasted multigrain, but I didn’t quite enjoy the bread. The multigrain-studded crust was tasty but the bread itself felt doughy in my opinion. Not a deal breaker since I loved the mixed greens though!
I admit I would be hard pressed to pick between this or the Populus Scramble next time I visit. Worth a try for sure if you love greens or are looking for a healthier option!
