Tucked away in Crescendo Building along Upper East Coast Road, this East side stalwart is your answer to an affordable and delicious lunch. Foolproof options include the Nasi Lemak Burger ($12), featuring a well-executed deep fried chicken cutlet, fried egg and sambal and mayo sauce atop a bed of fragrant pandan rice. The fork-tender Lamb Shank ($16.90) is a hit here as well. If you're planning to visit on weekends, come early to avoid crowds.

Very elegantly crafted, this pretty unicorn is actually a rainbow cake with colorful vanilla sponge and lemon buttercream. And they serve pretty good coffee prepared by an in-house barista, so this is my kind of fulfilling high tea in this brightly-lit space.

Dense but soft pandan sponge, filled with real coconut fibers moistened and lightly sweetened with gula melaka. If you love local flavours like me, you should like this.

These Ondeh Swiss Rolls, together with Ondeh Cupcakes, are part of their party packs. Suitable for office and home parties :)

One of the better dishes here. Most people I know who avoid lamb for its gaminess found this acceptable, because there's little gaminess here. Served in thick mushroom rosemary sauce and with pumpkin puree and diced feta. It's also really very tender.

To me this is a hidden gem. I've never heard of this cafe, but found the food to be really good and affordable. Then again, it was packed when I visited during Sunday lunch, which means that it is already very popular with people in that area.

This is a halal restaurant, but I also recommend this place for non-halal diners for a quick bite. It's also family friendly, so feel free to bring along your folks and little ones :)

ACAMASEATS & GTK💮: They have other sandwiches in their menu like the Smoked Salmon Sandwich (💵S$11.90) & Chicken-Ham with Cheese Sandwich (💵S$10.90). But the Pulled-Beef Brisket is the one I prefer out of the three. 🥙

I believe everything in life needs a balance of sorts. Like a burger in one hand & smoothie on the other. This time it's a side of Chips & Salad. 🔖
