The fish is soft but tasteless. Will need to go with chilli or the mayonnaise. I must say no lose to miss this.
Not my first time here on a Friday popular lunch spot, so I reserved a table beforehand. Had the signature fried fish with thick bee hoon soup as usual, where the fish was a sinful delight! 😝 Fried to a golden brown shade and separated from the soup, the piping hot fish is not something we usually get for other fish soups outside. Remember to reserve the chocolate fudge cake (dessert for set meal) when you order, as it is quick to run out during lunch!
Very comforting on a rainy day! Dinner set comes with ice cream and a drink ($17.50 after GST)
Good old fashioned steak Singapore styled. The Ship is one of the oldest if not the oldest steakhouse in Singapore. Steak is tasty and tender. And to keep the steak not over cooked on the hot plate onions and carrots were placed beneath it so the steak is kept medium rare till the last piece. Belly yummy.
Probably my favourite fish soup noodles out there! the broth of the soup is so enriching and hearty, while the generous serving of fillet snakehead fish on the side taste so fresh and crispy. $12.80 for their set lunch highly worth it!

This being my first time here, I always thought I would have sth old school, like chicken maryland, but since it looked like everyone was having fish soup , i followed suit. It was worthwhile - thick, plump, juicy and crisp on the outside. robust, flavoursome soup that packs a punch in typical Hainanese generous portions. #sgeats #burpple
