I thought this was a very well-balanced sandwich because the cucumber slices and generous squeeze of lemon negated any unpleasant fishiness the salmon may have given. That said, I feel like the amount of food given is a bit little for its price! Don't get me wrong, the sandwiches are substantial, but I thought a bit of salad or something else on the side would have (somewhat) justified the steep price a bit better!!

Used burrple 1-for-1 smoothie bowl and cold brew tea set.

Absolutely loved the smoothie bowls! Very generous filling of fresh fruits which gave natural sweetness to the bowl. The chocolate granola also gave a lot of taste and texture to the bowl. Matcha lovers you have to try ‘The Hulk’!

We also ordered the Roasted Mushroom Crème fraîche (single slice) to share. Mushrooms were delicious, however the bread was a tad too tough.

Would totally recommend their smoothie bowls! Total bill came up to around $25.

While this was hardly difficult to put together, the pairing of sea salt with peanut butter and honey; sliced bananas for a soft texture and desiccated coconut flakes for some crunch worked for the palate. Topping it off was the straightforward, faultless slices of sourdough sitting on a wooden board as we chatted the weekend afternoon away in a brightly furnished, cozy space.

Without Burpple beyond the double slices of open faced toasts here goes from $12-18 Nett which is reasonable only if you consider the indirect overheads for running the space.

Tried their flat white ($5) and mocha ($6)! Both featured medium bodied espresso with a dark roast, smooth and slightly nutty. The chocolate in the mocha also came through nicely!

Also tried the roasted egg plant with miso dressing ($14 for 2). I love bread and the biggest draw for me was the sourdough base!! It was soft and chewy with a crisp shell and had just the barest hint of acidity. I liked that there was a layer of olive oil, which complemented the bread! Enjoyed the eggplant and tomatoes, which were roasted till warm and soft and provided dimension in flavour and texture. The miso dressing was well done, but it was quite strong (especially in the middle, where most of it was drizzled)!

So excited to finally try TSS! We got the roasted mushroom and creme fraiche ($14 for 2). I love bread and the biggest draw for me was the sourdough base!! It was soft and chewy with a crisp shell and had just the barest hint of acidity. The roasted mushrooms were well seasoned, and I loved the melted cheese. Am not the biggest fan of creme fraiche but this one was alright! A little pricey for 2 slices of toast but they were delicious and a rather large portion 👍🏼
