The Social Space is a socially conscious multi-concept store, featuring a Tea Bar & Café, a fair trade retail area and a nail salon, all promoting a greater awareness for sustainability, an appreciation for providence, and more accessible conscious living. The mission of The Social Space is also to provide a platform for individuals who face a higher barrier to employment opportunities due to circumstances beyond their control, and equip them with varied skills sets that will allow them self-sufficiency in the long term. The Social Space hopes to encourage its community to be more socially conscious in their daily lives by walking the talk. From the choice of product we use and sell, to the services we offer, down to the people we hire, The Social Space aspires to dispel the perception that social enterprises offer sub-standard products and service. We aim to showcase high-quality, fair-trade, eco- and socially-conscious products and services that will affect change to you, the community and the planet.

From the Burpple community

This cafe is always crowded on the weekends, so we finally managed to find a space on Monday late morning. The crowd is a lot less, but the space is also limited, so going at off-peak hours is a lot more comfortable. The menu is slightly pricey, so likely will only go with the Burpple deals. The drink can be upsized but will be the regular price, minus $2.

The double toasts were generous, but the drinks weren’t amazing. We had the avo egg and salmon cream toasts, a coffee and tea latte. We enjoyed the ambience, and the meaningful, well-curated pop-up shop. However, the ambience only works if it’s not very crowded. Nevertheless, was a pleasant experience!

1-1 Burrple deal. Quite worth it, very filling. Tropicana is great

I tried the Tropicana bowl which is a blend that contains mango banana and pineapple. This was rather basic like what you would expect for in a smoothie bowl. Not the most mind blowing but definitely yummy. If you love acai or smoothies you’ll definitely love this place. I must mention that the fruits are soaked in honey which is great for those who find Kiwis too sour and dragon fruit bland (me lol).

I would go back again with the deal because $14 for a bowl of blended fruits is a bit too pricey considering that the bowl is not that big. But great ambience! And the eating time allowance is 2hours so it’s great for a catch-up with a friend.

Had a nice time catching up with my friend while chilling out with yummy smoothie bowls (pink flamingo and berry berry good) 😋😋 nice service too!

A hearty brunch that is healthy and tasty! 🤩Quite a big portion, very worth with burpple beyond. The generous avocado spread with the slightly salty egg is not just a feast for the eye but an explosion of flavour for the tastebuds!! They pair so well together with the toast and we just can't stop ourselves from reaching out for another slice! The mushroom toast was a scrumptious mess, with an overload of well-sauteed mushrooms that paired really well with the cream cheese(?) The mushroom and avocado toast both have a charred mentaiko smell it was so so addictive 😍 im already missing it! 😋🥺
