The Summer Açaí (Joo Chiat)

I got this mainly for the refreshing pear sorbet🍐 Opted for pistachio butter which came in a GENEROUS amount but wasn’t as nutty as I expected. I’ll stick to cashew/cookie butter!

Everybody has been hitting 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙘𝙖𝙞 up (we’re a little late to the party) but we could not resist getting their acai bowls to try hehe 🙈🙈 We bought this wayyy back when their joo chiat outlet just opened and they had 1 for 1 large bowls!

We got our hands on the attention-catching 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙈𝙮 𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙨 ($13.90). It was completely STACKED to brim with their açaí and as promised, it had loads 🌰 and loads 🥜 of nuts (and omg that nutella too 🍯). They’re rlly generous with their almond butter as well - just look at the amount they gave! For our second bowl, the 𝙒𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙖𝙖𝙥𝙚 ($13.90) was topped with loads of colourful fresh fruits and definitely delivered a refreshing serving of acai goodness.

Their açaí is soo worth mentioning. It had the perfect consistency filled with that earthy chocolatey berry flavour, and was not overly watery or frosty. One thing though: try to have their acai bowls fresh instead of frozen for storage, because it was quite hard to defrost it correctly and you’ll end up with rock solid acai brick HAHA 🤕🤕

Actually super impressed with The Summer Acai (esp how generous they are with the ingredients) and yay they’re opening up many new outlets across the island! They’ve also released a new flavour: the Gossip Gearl (earl grey sorbet) and we can’t wait to try it! We’ll definitely be back 😋😋
