[Available on Burpple Beyond] I've tried many Impossible burgers since its arrival last year, and truth be told, none of them has ever quite hit it for me.

Except for the Happy Days Burger (S$20) from The Goodburger. 😍

There's a lot to love about this - it has a chunky Impossible patty, a sliced cheese, a couple of onion rings and BBQ sauce sandwiched in between two brioche buns. Amazingly enough, it doesn't get messy as you're eating it. I had it and I was surprised at how the burger stayed intact from the first bite to the last - which makes it a great, uninterrupted burger experience. 🍔🤤

With all the shiok-ness of a regular burger that it possesses, it is meatless at its core and mimics the taste of a beef patty pretty decently. I think it's sick to know that food can still be good even without the one thing most of us are used to eating.

To summarise it, I'd say - think of this as indulgence with a quality of elegance. 🙏🏽

They are admittedly pricey, and that means it's a good thing they're on Burpple Beyond! You can get 1-for-1 on a Happy Days Set (S$26 total)- the burger, some truffle fries and a canned drink. Got someone to share with? Great. Don't have anyone? Even better - more for yourself, right?! 🤩 [8.1/10]

“Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger! Can I take your order?” 🍔🍟
The Goodburger Black Tie with Truffle Fries [$21]
Impossible patty, brioche bun, cheese, rocket, truffle aioli, pickles.
Decided to go for a walk and ended up buying into the hype that is the Goodburger Impossible food truck. Wish there was more rocket and I don’t really get why people like Impossible (why? It’s much more unhealthy than eating beef). The first time I had it was at Fatburger in Beverly Hills, and I thought it didn’t really taste like beef. This one tasted a little more beef-like, but the burger and fries, especially the patty, were drenched in oil. Literally couldn’t finish this because I felt like puking every time I had a bite (it’s really very oily). The fries were also way too salty and pretty ordinary for truffle fries. Thankfully I had a salad on standby 😂 Also, thank god for air-conditioning and root beer. Absolute lifesavers. No more Impossible for me please.

As you can see in the picture, burger is really small. Too much cheese in the burger and very less avocado.

They charge 24 for 1 set. Burpple Beyond saved me here, as I got 1 for 1.

Cheese overpowering the whole taste and also making the burger really salty. Not visiting anytime soon.

2 on 5. You have been warned

The Black Tie burger came with truffle aioli, rocket, cheese between a brioche buns. I’ve tried a bunch of Impossible burgers and it’s true that the patty is the closest to meat that you can get right now. The patty is pretty damn good.

Sadly, I can’t say the same about the burger itself. It had way too much mayo 😢 I had to scrape some of the mayo off because it was just too much. It really drowned the taste of the rocket, cheese and Impossible patty. There wasn’t much truffle flavour as well. 😬

The set came with a burger, shoestring truffle fries and a coke for $24. After Burpple Beyond, we paid $12 per pax. Though the shoestring fries were good, it can’t make up for the burger. Though the staff did say that the burger was meant to be eaten with two patties (+$6), I feel like this mayo problem is probably unrelated to the bun-to-meat ratio.

I probably wouldn’t be back again because I prefer a more well-balanced burger.

This food truck serves scrumptious Impossible burgers in Marina Bay. The Classic Set ($22) comes with truffle fries and a drink. All fries are shoestring — served hot, crispy and not too oily. Burger buns are fluffy, Impossible patty is tasty and the cheese, special sauce and pickles work together in a classic combo. Burpple Tastemakers recommend adding an extra patty for $6, resulting in a more balanced meat-to-bun ratio that you won't regret!

The Promontory: Mon-Fri (12-3pm), Bayfront Link: Mon-Sun (6-10pm). Check @thegoodburgersg on Instagram for location updates!

$18 aka carte, $24 set. We were in the area so we decided to try this - our first time trying impossible meat. Was a bit hesitant but it was good! A bit pricey but the fries are truffle fries & it comes with a drink (either Coke or Water). & no seats as it’s a food truck but there’s plenty of public-seating nearby :”)
