Located at the top level of jewel, although the place was crowded with people, the restaurant still maintained a nice relaxing atmosphere.

We ordered the jewel chirashi and truffle fries. The chirashi was fresh and delicious, didn't need to use the soy sauce at all as it was already delicious on its own. The snow crab meat was interesting, although it wasn't particularly amazing as it wasn't served whole, but as a small clump.

The truffles fries was also great, however, I didn't really like the mushroom tempe, truffle mayonnaise, chives and shio konbu toppings. Would have preferred it on its own.

Overall, the food was good, place was nice, I would give it a 7/10

Serving some of the fusion Japanese bowl on the top floor of Jewel Chang Airport, together with a great selection of drinks here.

Unlike many unagi bowl outside, their’s stand up for it pink colour!

Topped with onsen egg, house-made pickles, shio konbu and chives over steamed rice seasoned with our special blend of furikake and tare.

The char siew sauce has made their unagi somehow more pinky then the rest.

Foie Gras was melting in my mouth and the beef short ribs is absolute tender. Goes well with the seasoned rice. Spicy mentaiko don was lack lustre compared to the beef. Thou the amount of tuna n salmon was alot. The truffle fries was goooood but getting jerlak as we had more. Anyway we couldn't finished the the mentaiko Don n fries between my son n me. But will go back again just for the foie Gras n beef.

Tanuki Raw at Jewel (together with The World Is Flat bar) has a slightly different menu. Being one of the cheapest dons on the menu, the portion was quite value for money! You can see that they gave quite a bit of chicken, nicely cooked and well-marinated with garlic teriyaki sauce. You may want to request for less sauce (or separate) as I felt like the sauce was a bit too much. Onsen egg was cooked perfectly and went well with the dish!

The mentaiko salmon bao was πŸ’―πŸ’― think thicccc mentaiko sauce in a fried mantou bun!
Also love their truffle yakiniku with foie gras, and salmon don πŸ”₯
Definitely a go-to place for creative Jap food in Singapore!

truffle taste was not really strong, just in the truffle mayo but really loved the mushrooms on top. went really well with the fries!!!
