Upon stepping in, you will be greeted with the 500-litre microbrewery with 23 taps of the finest craft beer for your enjoyment. From the Lion Brewery Co’s flagship and seasonal brews, there are also rotating guest brews from other local and international partners, all brewed on site.

Aside from the beverages, the restaurant has a food menu centered around dishes grilled on the custom-built brick hearth and through this open-flame cooking, it gives the food the touch of bold and smokey flavour. Each of the dishes in the menu, whether they are small bites or large sharing plates, has been thoughtfully conceptualized and developed to pair with specific brews so that both the food and beverages are able to complement each other. From starters such as the Scotch Egg ($10) and Spicy Pork Belly Satay ($16) to mains like Fish and Chips ($25), Wood Fired Cauliflower ($25) and Charred Beef Short Rib Minute Steak ($34), you can expect a whole range of food items that will cater to every diner and dietary preferences.

The Scotch Egg is a British pub classic and over here, it is done with a twist as nduja is combined with a regular sausage base and Impossible meat as the coating for the boiled egg, deep fried and served with a house-made sriracha mayo sauce. This starter is best paired with the Thirty Six Brewlab Lah-ger ($5/$11/$14), a craft lager with a dry, light body with lingering bitterness. Between the mains, I would recommend the Fish and Chips which is served with beer battered halibut using Lion Brewery’s Straits Pale Ale, twice-cooked hand cut potato fries, mushy peas and a tangy tartar sauce, and the Wood Fired Cauliflower, that is suitable for vegetarians, and it comes with grilled marinated cauliflower florets with cashew nut butter, leek miso puree and cauliflower rice. Complete the meal with the Pandan-flavoured Burnt Cheesecake ($13) and the Raspberry Beer-et ($5/$11/$14) for a refreshing finish.
