Delicious blend of mess - Hainanese curry rice with chap chye, fried pork chop, char siew and fried egg.

🤔: Wish the curry could have a slightly spicier kick, but it was still pretty good! The pork chop was crispy on the outside, yet the meat itself wasn't dry. Definitely recommend getting the brinjal as it goes really well with the curry png!
My previous visit was unmemorable. For some reason I still craved this stall and alas it's only okay I guess. Pork chop was very good. Below the best such as Beo Crescent and Havelock but that's a very high bar. Unfortunately the so-called char siew was poor. Just dry pork chop made red. I asked for their legendary "all gravies" but it didn't look or taste so. All in all, not much different from a random curry rice.
Nothing beats a platter of crispy pork cutlet drenched in well stewed mixed veggies and Tian Tian's special sweet sauce or curry when you want a comforting but really satisfying lunch. I added char siew for good measure. So great!
6 different sauces and curries are added to each plate of curry rice! Wow!
What took me so long to find this place! I ❤️ all the dishes that are served here — chap chye [a.k.a. mixed vegetables] is stewed till soft and has a strong flavour from the dried shrimp, lor bak [a.k.a. stewed pork belly] is tender, well-braised and has a good balance of meat and fat. The highlight of my meal is their pork chop served with a bowl of brown gravy to dip the crispy pork chop that is incredibly satisfying! 😋
