The mala here is reasonably priced at $1 for vegetables and $2 for meat! Got chicken, mushrooms, tofu skin, taupok and glass noodles and added $0.50 for take away container! Zhongla was quite spicy but bearable. I love the nuts they added. Glass noodles soaked the sauce really well so they were great!! Overall great mala!

Easties, hunt down this underdog ma la contender tucked in a far corner on the second floor of Pasir Ris Hawker Centre. Prices start from $1 for vegetables, $2 for chicken or pork, and $3 for beef and mutton — more than decent for the generous portions! Not overly salty, this one's best enjoyed with a bowl of Rice ($0.50) or some Instant Noodles ($1) to soak up any leftover sauce.

Priced per portion, the mlxg here is very affordable, at $1 for veg, $2 for chicken/pork and $3 for beef/mutton/seafood! It was very fragrant with just the right amount of peppercorns, but a little oily and had much less salt - personally didn’t find this bowl as shiok cause I’m all for stronger flavours! Spice levels are also lower than usual, so take it up a notch if you’re a fan.

Heads up guys! Pasir Ris Hawker Centre has some pretty good Ma La hot pot hidden amongst the trendy food options on the second floor. There a queue most of the time but it’s always fast moving probably because of the very feisty lady boss who hates wasting time. Tons of fresh ingredients to choose from! Vegetables are $1 a pick, chicken was $2 and beefs and muttons are $3 a pop! It cost us $15 for a 3 person portion with 2 bowls of rice! It was a little bit oily BUT not salty at all and the taste was ON POINT! For spice heads I recommend going for big spice because medium spice didn’t really do anything for me. But definitely always a trustworthy option when you’ve got a Ma la craving!
