Decided to have a late lunch here and the food didnt fail to impress. I ordered the mala pork and sweet and spicy pork plus a pork porridge for my daughter. All were equallu good! No one mentioned abouy the porridge but it's a must try especially if you have a young kid. He/she will love it! Will be back. =)

Popped by this place for a quick dinner, got the braised pork (lu rou) and mala pork collar rice bowl. The braised pork was tender and the fats not overwhelming, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't too salty at all. Just that the food wasn't that hot when it was served. The mala pork collar was slightly overbearing on the "'Ma" side, but reasonable for the "la". Meat was tender and soft which was delightful, but as for ma personal tastebuds, I would recommend the braised pork!

Pork Belly glazed in a sweet, sour and spicy sauce served with vegetables, a sous vide egg and rice. Generous ingredients for affordable price- This costs less than $10. Served in an old fashioned metal bowl that brings back the old times. Glorious vintage and nolstalgic decor.

1-for-1 : meehoonkueh and pork rice! Great place esp if you love pork with soft texture and the portion was just nice. Prefers the pork rice over the mhk in general

This dish is not eligible for burpple beyond, was a tad disappointed when I found out (while trying to order at the counter). But tried it anyway. Food certainly didn’t disappoint, honestly would come back here for this bowl! Also wanted to try their noodles but they ran out so I had rice instead. Beef was nicely cooked, not too tough and sauce is very flavourful.

The 1 for 1 here made the meal real affordable paid $24 for 4 people and we all added an onsen egg each. The rice bowls are decently sized and they are quite generous with the protein. Pity they didn’t have the sweet and spicy pork when I went which is what I wanted to try. The mala pork was tender even though it was a lean cut of meat and the spice really came
through, even the rice was laced with sichuan peppercorns and dried chili. You can even top your rice with the fried shallots provided to give the bowl a textural contrast. My only gripe is that the rice bowl was abit too wet?? especially after mixing in the egg as I prefer to taste the individual grains of rice.
