Wanted to try Tie Fun Wan back when it was at Rangoon road. They had 50+ reviews there, wondered why burpple never port those reviews over.
Currently located at kovan at the end of the bowling alley, location not so good actually.
Food wise, the lu rou fan was quite good. Paid additional $4 for a other slab of meat.
The meat was quite good when eat with the fats, maybe they should consider chopping it, like previously. The bottom of the meat was a little dry.
The service was slow as there was only one person manning the shop when we were there. This dish is better than the lu rou fan. The pasta was al dente and smooth. The salmon skin was crispy and the meat was soft.
Although this is their signature dish, it was so so only. They didn cut the braised pork so we had to ask them cut into smaller pieces. Some parts was tender while the leaner meat was tough.
I'm back to try their pao fan after enjoying their other mains previously. Pao fan is really just throwing rice into soup, nothing fancy. The soup was nice, but nothing special. The meatballs were large and yummy. There's also an onsen egg, which was very weird to throw into soup.
$4 for this little! I was suspicious already when I saw the low price.
took a while to find the place even though I'm quite familiar with the neighbourhood. noodles are springy and gravy of braised pork not too salty. sparse crowd during weekday lunch time.
