The aroma attracted us to get a plate but sadly, the flavour didn’t quite match up. While the big prawns were fresh and the wok hei was very strong, it was surprisingly under seasoned. 😔 Do note that if you’re eating in, it’s a must to get at least a drink or pay an additional 0.40RM.

This was pretty good. We ordered two different level of spiciness. In the end, we decided to mix both plates up and found that by doing so, it was just right for us.

Our last dash for CKT! This Char Kway Teow is served on a banana leaf so that you do not feel the oil. Endorsed by a Singapore celebrity too! :)

阿虎🐯 personally buys the ingredients for his Char Koay Teow from the market every single day, de shells the prawns and preps everything by hand.

Hands down one of the best Char Koay Teow in Penang! Ask for the duck egg 🐥version for more flavour! 👍🏻💕😋😋😋

Char Kway Teow (炒粿条) literally "Stir-Fried Ricecake Strips", is a Popular Street Food in Singapore & Malaysia. Defiantly a Must Try when you're in any of these Countries 🇸🇬🇲🇾

Stir-Fried over very High Heat on an Old Wok to archive Wok Hei with Light & Dark Soy Sauce, Chilli, Belachan, Prawns, Cockles, Bean Sprouts , Eggs, Chinese Sausage & Fishcakes. It is Traditionally Stir Fried in Pork Fat, with Crisp Croutons of Pork Lard. 😳 In Penang, Char kway Teow is served on a piece of Banana Leaf 🍃 on a plate, so as to Enhance the Aroma of the Dish 😋

ACAMASTIPS💮: Wok Hei is EVERYTHING for an Asian Street Food like Char Kway Teow. Wok Hei is the "Essense/Flavour" imparted by the Wok (Only a Well Seasoned Wok can archive Wok Hei) when stir-frying over very high heat. Get it at Tiger Char Koay Teow (老虎炒粿条) @ 179 Carnavon Street, Georgetown, Penang. I got the one Fried with Duck Egg (RM6.50/💵S$2.10).

This is a must have hawker food in Penang !!! Char Kuey teow !!! I have been to many charkueyteow place in Penang but this is my favorite one ! They give you big prawns as shown in the picture and it's so delicious that it will make u crave for it! The location wise is kinda bad because it's hard to find parking there. But you may find a empty open car park which you might need to pay rm3 for 2 hours opposite this hawker stall. But I must say its worth it !
