From the Burpple community

I used the 1 for 1 burpple deal and got the laksa pasta. This dish was their most popular dish and thus I decided to gave it a shot. To be honest, it really tasted like an ordinary laksa dish that you could've gotten outside. Without the burpple deal, I've been paying $20 for a plate of laksa pasta(w.o GST). Noodles were cooked perfectly, but the broth was nothing mind blowing. Prawns were cooked perfectly though its black grit were not removed properly. I'd not recommend this dish as its too expensive even with the burpple deal.

The menu made this dish look so good! But this was an utter disappointment that fell short of all kinds of expectations. One would be better off just eating laksa from a coffee shop. Ingredients and the laksa flavour itself was tasteless and lacking in flavour. The egg, which looked molten in the photos, was extremely bland. The prawns were pathetic and evidently frozen. The squid had a fishy taste to me. An extremely disappointing meal I must say, because I was extremely excited to try it. Not sure if I’ll come back for their food again next time..😮

Ambience was great, went on a Saturday and was still able to get a table. They only had 4 pasta to choose from, ordered these two. Quite special I would say, Lor Bak pasta was very flavourful and had a herbal aftertaste. The Hei Bi Hiam pasta smells very good but was rather bland in flavour. Probably will not come back for this menu, see what they will have next.

Tastes exactly like its name. I felt like I was eating the same Laksa as I would at a coffee shop except that the noodles were replaced with spaghetti. You’d like it if you liked laksa.
I liked the restaurant set up - it’s located at the top floor of Jewel, so it felt very open with greenery around you, as if you were Alfresco dining without the humid, hot Singaporean weather.

we got the laksa prawns spaghetti. disclaimer: the menu makes everything look more savoury and larger in proportion than it actually is. as for the flavour of the laksa itself, it was pretty good and authentic to the original that you’d get at hawkers. didn’t rly seem that much of a “fusion” dish, just looked like a dry version of your regular laksa made with pasta instead. the biggest disappointment were the toppings - ESPECIALLY THE EGGS. i guess i just expected more incorporation of western flavours and spices. but it’s a tasty dish nonetheless!

Using 2 deals for 4 pastas. TSL only has 4 pastas, we hv ordered all 4. Laska and he bi hiam consider ok. Gong bao feel like normal mee. Lor ba not worth to try.
