This chain’s congee is hardly my idea of congee as it is rather watery plus not much of salted egg (specks), never mind about the measly portion (about the size of cai fan porridge sized). ($6.5++)

Their wonton soup (not pictured here) is also hardly value for money, very different from the Hong Kong outlet or when the chain first opened in SG. But it can be said their prawns are rather fresh which is a plus point! ($7++). Of course it can’t be denied that this chain has its good points however most that I’ve eaten here just doesn’t wow me what with the price point unlike other chains with similar price points. ( Have tried the BBQ pork buns and spicy pork noodles which are not bad! ) Best item I’ve had here would be the juicy Siew Mais!

Oooh the Skin was really chewy and sticky I just loved it. Generous clump of garlicky soft spinach made this dumpling a healthy snack. I’ve tried this at other places before but I just adore the ones here.

I thot this was a steal at $5. Very juicy and well marinated. Bouncy prawns with meaty pork. No foul porky smell. One of the rare places where I rank the Siew Mai higher than the har gau.

Very juicy prawns wrapped in translucent slightly sticky skin. This was high quality har gau but I actually prefer their Siew Mai.

This is a firm fav and we can never miss ordering this. Crispy Beancurd stuffed with sweet prawns. Thou it couldn’t beat the one at Tien Court, it was one of the more delicious renditions I have tried.

A very comforting hot bowl of noodle soup. Noodles were springy and the soup was well seasoned. Wontons were the star of cos. Plump fresh succulent prawns made this a winner.
