Ordering in Quebec can be an adventure, as some of the staff, even at chains like Tim Hortons, don’t speak English. We finally managed to order by lots of gesturing, and with the help of another staff member.

Jumping on board the egg bites/mini omelettes train, Tim Hortons has two variants available. The Cheese and Spinach, as well as the Bacon and Cheddar. Unlike the Starbucks egg bites, Tim Hortons mini omelettes seem to be fried or baked. Their exterior isn’t as smooth, but they have more of an egg-like texture rather than the almost bouncy pudding-like texture that Starbucks egg bites seem to have from sous vide cooking. The cheese and spinach bites had a more subtle taste, but they were delicious. Not bad for about $3!

Way too sweet for my liking due to the chocolate coating and the additional glaze on top. I found that the donut had more of a cake like texture as it was dense, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I could taste anything apart from sugar, so I can’t say I liked this.

One of the signature drinks at Tim Hortons and it’s perfect to pick up on a hot day. Super refreshing, with a roast aroma that can be detected through the ice blend. The sweetness is perfect when it’s still frozen, but becomes too sweet once it’s melted.

It’s a challenge ordering in Quebec as a proportion of the locals don’t speak English at all, even in a chain like Tim Hortons. Thankfully, we managed to order after lots of gesturing and an additional staff member.

I’m not sure if the London Fog at this outlet is indicative of how the drink tastes at Tim Hortons, but it’s just so dang milky I could only detect a hint of tea. Absolutely no vanilla at all. I wouldn’t buy this again. Complete waste of money.

Jumping on the Impossible Foods bandwagon, Tim Hortons is another in the line of fast food chains to introduce three Beyond Meat breakfast items. We tried the Impossible Breakfast Sausage with egg and cheese in an English muffin. It was my dad’s first time trying Beyond Meat and he said it tasted better than real beef. You would not be able to tell the difference between this sausage and a regular sausage. Apart from that, the omelette is fluffy and well-cooked, plus the muffin is extremely soft and pillowy! Much better than Macdonalds English muffins. A real yummy and pretty nutritious breakfast in the morning that’s easy to pick up at Tim Hortons!
