Intense craving for some steamed rice rolls after watching a recently aired HK drama.
β€’
The slightly translucent rice roll enveloping the sweet BBQ Iberian pork is soft, smooth and springy.

Probably the most expensive rice roll I've ever had till date but I guess it's considered cheap as we are talking about a restaurant with #2michelinstars here. Oxymoronic I know. haha. Well, I would say it's worth a trip here for the excellent service, ambience, spectacular view and of course, the dim sum.

I can't decide which part of this I like better – the crisp, crusty, mottled bun itself, or the sweet and smoky morsels of char siew squirreled away inside its hollow. A redundant dilemma, really, because they're meant to be savoured together anyway, which is exactly what I did. In very eager, unglamorous chomps. ☺️ .

These may be rather petite in stature, but you know what they say: quality > quantity.

And quality, they certainly deliver. Each tart is an immaculate frill of flaky pastry filled out with egg custard so silky-smooth it melts away in the mouth effortlessly.

The most extravagant yum cha I've ever partaken of at this 2 Michelin-starred restaurant located 102 storeys above ground, at The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, no less.

The food is refined and delicate; service is top-notch – friendly but non-intrusive; and the view! Oh, the view 😍😍😍 .

We definitely over-ordered for two (we had 6 dishes) but the bill came up to just S$60 per person, which I think is pretty reasonable for the whole experience. I would certainly encourage at least one visit here for those who have never been.

One of the best I've ever had. Love the crackling sound of the skin when you bite into it and complemented the layers of fat and meat of the pork belly. The food stole my heart and the view of Hong Kong from the 102nd floor too. Amazing restaurant with great food and ambience. Best splurge of this trip!

This one from Tin Lung Heen is a class of its own. Look at how it glistens! The glaze was sweet and the pork was lightly charred yet it melts in your mouth.
