After my first sip, I really wasn't expecting to have konjac jellies in this red latte. To be honest, I kinda loved this seasonal drink. Hoping Tiong Bahru Bakery will put this on their drinks menu

TBB signature crisp buttery pastry shaped like a disc with generous pockets of butter, glazed with caramelised sugar and a hint of salt. This is like a croissant but upgraded to a denser, breadier, lesser layer with more butter and sugar. Good to share as this is quite huge and sugar overloaded 》$5.30

The Kouign Amann (pronounced as Queen Amann) is one of Tiong Bahru Bakery's signature pastries so we definitely had to give it a go when visited this branch.

The Kouign Amann is made from bread and butter and it is covered with a layer of caramelized sugar. The pastry was pretty sweet on the outside and really buttery on the inside and to be honest, we would count it as a dessert pastry that would probably be unsuitable for breakfast. We also feel that the Kouign Amann can get pretty cloying after a while due to the sweetness of it's exterior so it would be best to pair this with a drink such as a coffee from the bakery!

At $5++, it is worth a try for lovers of sweet pastries!
