- Can choose noodles type (thick beehoon/thin beehoon/yellow noodles)

- Very generous with the ingredients
- Chilli goes so well as a dip for the sliced chicken, fishcake and beancurd
- Curry is fragrant. Not too thick, not too watery.

A value for money bowl for what it’s served with! $3 and you get fishcakes, 3 fishballs, pork slices and a fish dumpling. Soup was bland, but the noodles were springy and tossed in a nice ketchup-chilli mix. Their queue moves rather slowly, so you might not want to get this if you’re having a quick lunch.

Here at Tiong Bahru Food Centre (there are 2 famous stalls here). Lor Mee 178’s signature Lor Mee ($3.00) is a bowl of thick, flat yellow noodles in viscous gravy (the lor). Unlike the ones in other Lor Mees, its flavourful gravy is not too starchy and has a good consistency to it. You could finish slurping a bowl without feeling too full.

Most people would add the crispy Shark Nuggets (not fins, don’t have to get overly triggered) for an additional dollar.

It has been favourite since my childhood days. It goes well with Rice, noodles, porridge etc.
Featuring the Char Siew Wanton Noodles from Zhong Yu Yuan Wei Wanton Noodle. They are famous for their 不见天叉烧. They actually use the meat cut from the pig's arm pit for their char Siew. Pig’s armpit is actually the part between the shoulder and belly. It is marbled and tender. The Char Siew is delicious but I prefer the noodles to be slightly more springy.
