I'd be honest, I don't think it was good. It's decent but I don't understand the crowd they draw.
What I don't understand is their insistence on offering only "special" varieties like the lemon garlic fettuccine here instead of proper plain pasta (I asked). Sometimes less is more.
Still, credit where it's due. Pasta was cooked to al dente with a good bite (though it was not rolled thin enough and became a bit chewy). The amount of seafood given was generous. Pomodoro sauce was balanced. Not sure if that extra tick of citric zest from the pasta was needed though (the other pasta on selection would have fit even less FYI).
Not exactly authentic, and the lack of normal pasta is a jarring decision, but Tipo is still a good alternative to the many "casual" pasta places in the same price range.

Generous portion of beef, although the regular size may not be very filling for some (like me lol). Very interesting that they have various types of pastas, each with a different flavour infused into it, although I was not able to distinguish the taste of the pasta once infused in the ragu sauce.

Got the lunch set for $9.90 which included this pasta and an iced lemon tea - extremely worth it! Pasta was freshly made in store, a little thick in my opinion, but went well with the hearty ragu with a generous amount of beef.

Love how the pasta was really al dente. We all created our own pasta. Ragu was ragu. The aglio olio tasted spectacular. Not overly dry and flavourful.

The sous vide egg when mixed made the Alfredo even more creamier. However, The pickle-brined chicken breast was lost in all the truffle but was tender nonetheless. All in all, I liked how everything came together well. :) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In addition to make your own pastas, you can order their recommended combinations, desserts and drinks. They're also halal certified so Muslim friends can enjoy this as well. #throwback

Fettucine, linguine, new Lamborghini. Recognising that two of the three given words are pasta types is of course, the first step to understanding and appreciating the beauty of the usage of three syllables in a word. Also it is common sense. A small but homely restaurant nestled within the winding streets of North Bridge Road, Tipo prides itself on making fresh and unique pasta variations in-house everyday. There is something unmistakably comforting in knowing about the identity and the near religious righteousness pasta possesses, but of course, who am I to say? I literally described pasta as “possessing religious righteousness”. Tipo offers full customisability and allows anyone to make their own pasta with their desired noodles to use, sauces and toppings. After a brisk but warm welcome into the establishment, you will be introduced to their daily selection of homemade pasta noodles beautifully presented on a tray. On the day of our visit, my partner and I were allowed to select between some lovely artisanal Lemon & Dill Mafalde, Paprika Fusilli and Sage & Onion Fettuccine. I had their Sage & Onion Fettuccine with Sautéed Prawns and White Button Mushrooms in a Roasted Red Pepper Sauce ($14.90). Spicy, tangy and simple delicious. The sautéed prawns were delectably fresh and sweet, mingling with the aromatic spicy sauce.
