What a let-down after a great brunch at Toby’s Estate. The waffles are just a Belgian waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, berries, berry compote and chocolate sauce. The waffle wasn’t even warm, and it felt like pre-made Belgian waffles that lacked any trace of fluffiness or crispiness. It was just dry and hard. I didn’t like the berry compote this was served with as it caused the already disappointing waffle to get soggy the longer it sat in the bowl. This definitely doesn’t deserve to be on their favourites menu. Shouldn’t have wasted calories or money on this and opted for the French Toast or something else instead.

Came for brunch and really enjoyed the vibes of this place! At the Robertson Quay, and there was quite a crowd during the weekend, but we managed to get a table quite quickly. I had the eggs benedict -brooklyn style with stew beef which was delicious! ($20) and my hb had the Brekkie of Champions($25) The portions were pretty decent especially when we used entertainer which had 1 for 1!

This café is a go-to for amazing coffee and decent wholesome brunch with your friends or family. I love their Breakkie of Champions - harissa sausage, espresso-cured bacon, sautéed mushrooms, salad, roasted vine tomatoes and poached eggs, with brioche. Phew! Didn’t want to have the beans so I prefer more mushrooms for mine. For a more relaxing time, avoid the peak period from 1030am onwards on weekends. We arrived at 1015am and missed the rush hour. :)
