Toh Soon Cafe’s specialty. Lightly overcooked soft-boiled eggs lying atop charcoal grilled buttery toasts — what a combination!

omg after trying out this kopitiam i finally understood why it is always filled with crowds!!

1️⃣ Eggs on Toast
This is the best. Really really super recommend to everyone. I’m so in love with it.

2️⃣ Chocolate Toast
It is good too! Rich flavour of chocolate. There are other flavours available too.

3️⃣ Signature Coffee
Try order it in hot as I think it would be way better and richer flavour.

Would come back again during my next visit to penang! Hehe.

The result of the toast was crispy and aromatic but we waited about an hour to get them. While the toast was nice, we preferred the ones the ready made ones in the plastic bags. They were also crisp and lightly coated with sugar and there’s no wait for that!

Long waiting time. Very crowded. It is usual to experience finding a seat and After seated, you will have to wait for the server to come to you for the order. Good taste for the toast, not exactly fantastic. Coffee is ok. Sweet too.

As we have our morning coffee and toast in this small back alley coffeeshop. Place was packed by the time we arrive at 9am. Strong fragrant coffee pair with simple kaya toast bread or egg on toast, we're ready to start the day!

It is beyond me why there are supposedly mad queues for the kaya toast and eggs here, but the crowds were thin in the late afternoon.

It must be the experience of watching your bread being toasted over a charcoal fire in a makeshift oil barrel oven that's part of its rustic allure, which I admit, I found rather enjoyable myself.

The toast itself was crisp, brittle and faintly charred, with a thin layer of kaya and butter within. Nothing to shout about, but they served as handy soldiers to dip into the really yummy soft boiled eggs.

As for the 'kopi peng' -- rich, smooth and refreshingly icy and a welcome balm for a balmy day.
