Our original lunch destination was closed, but doesn’t matter when Tok Tok was nearby and super yummy! This mix of dishes on a plate will satisfy those who need a little variety in life; with beef rendang (my fav), sambal shredded chicken, egg, tempeh and more, you’ll get something a little different in every mouth.

They’re really popular though and a little slow with the service, so do budget some time for lunch. Make sure you come with backup to get seats while you queue!

Nasi Campur Bali - $9.90

Balinese style beef rendang, sambal shredded chicken, sliced beef tossed with sambal, egg tossed with balado sambal, sweet and spicy fried tempeh, Balinese style stir fry long bean and beef skewers with basted homemade sambal. A lot on the plate, a lot of flavours, you gonna love it too

Ahhh. I can’t appreciate this dish. The English description reads “fish dumpling with peanut sauce” and sounded pretty appetising but aw, when the dish appeared before me, I was skeptical and unfortunately, my skepticism was not unfounded. The “fish dumpling” wasn’t fish in dumplings but rather, some really hard and tough fishcake of sort. Really terrible and the taste was nothing to shout about. The saving grace was the peanut sauce which made the entire dish a little more palatable but even then, the peanut gravy wasn’t outstanding. Never ordering this again.

Incredibly popular place for Indonesia food during lunch time, perhaps due to it’s budget friendly prices (most mains are available on the menu

The sweet glaze on surface was caramelised to release strong hints of smokiness and the flavours stood out even more with the sambal.

The homemade pandan rice jelly was quite soft and the Javanese palm sugar had the fragrance and sweetness but not cloying. I like the diced jackfruit which provides crunch and natural sweetness to the dessert. .
