Definitely one for the dry noodle lovers as you get to taste the flavourful sauce that coats every strand of noodles. Was impressed at how the noodles didn't clump together, which is a common sight for many dry noodles out there. Upon tossing, the noodles were redolent of fragrant shallot oil and very umami. Heed my advice and add 2 heaping teaspoon of chilli provided on the table - the added fragrance and tiny heat will make this a very pleasant dish to finish clean.

Unlike our local or even the Taiwanese beef noodles, which has starchy and braised soups respectively, the ones from Tongue Tip are clear. One may not get used to how light it is, but I personally like it as I'm not one for strong and rich flavours. Chose the triangle noodles because I was curious how it'll look and taste like - they look similar to the regular thin noodles, just slightly edged and it gave a really good, unique texture! Love the generous amount of tender, sliced beef as well đź‘Ť

For a quick and satisfying lunch, make a beeline for this Halal-certified Lanzhou beef noodle house. Expect a complex and robust broth (simmered with more than 15 spices) with fresh noodles hand-pulled on the spot. Pick your noodles (ranging from thick to flat) for the flavourful Signature Beef Noodles (from $8.90). Spice fiends, the Mala Spicy Beef Noodles ($9.50) with that extra kick is made for you.

Fairly new place, handmade noodles. Few choices on the menu but fairly tasty. Pricy $8.90-$10.90 for a bowl but the noodles are free flow for the large size.

Been wanting to pay this la mian joint a visit for some time, and finally did so since I was around the area today.

Dish came with mala paste sitting atop a deceptively plain looking broth base. Don’t be fooled by its humble appearance though, as the broth was so intricately layered and complex! You can tell that the soup has been simmered for a long time, what with that poignant beefy essence despite its clear colour. Mixing the mala paste into the broth also lent it an extra dimension, best described by that distinct and fragrant mouth-numbingness that you would expect of the potent spice, yet without being too spicy. So delicious, this broth!

For noodles (there are 8 types of noodles you can pick from, with varying thickness), I opted for the thinnest option available. La mian was well-executed — QQ with a nice bite.

Overall a great meal! Just wish that it could’ve come with an option of spring onions and maybe a thicker cut of the beef slices to give it more bite. Those tweaks would’ve made this dish perfect. Nonetheless, a great option if you’re looking for a light meal around the area. Also Halal-friendly.

Worth every single calorie I’ve burned. I love fat noodles especially when they are chewy and so I opted for the fattest they have and had it in the signature bowl. Absolutely love the broth and noodles! Will definitely be back for more. The sides, cucumber was crunchy and nice. The peanuts didn’t excite much.
