Back to my favourite joint! As usual, the tempuras here doesn’t disappoint. Fried to a crispy golden brown, it’s a wonder how they manage to keep the shrimp still utterly fresh and succulent. I especially enjoy pairing them with mustard on the side, which gives it a much needed kick and shiok-ness. ⁣

Also, majority of the things here are free flow - rice, cabbage, soup. I absolutely adore the soup here, always asking for seconds (or more) because I slurp them up in no time! You got to try it to believe it ✨

Deep fried black pork loin (160g). Kurobuta pork is juicy, tender and flavourful. The fatty part has slight sweetness and soft which melts in your mouth.
Their tonkatsu sauce has a sweet and tangy flavor which makes it even better to cut off the jelat-ness from the fats.
The clean flavor of the finely shredded cabbage provided a cool contrast to the richness of the juicy pork.
Highly recommend to pair with their jyukkokumai (multi grain rice).

Deep fried jumbo pork loin (250g). Rosu-katsu uses a richer cut of pork that comes with a strip of fat along the side. It tends to be juicier of because it contains layers of marbled fat. Ma maison definitely did the pork justice.

4⭐ It's coincidence that both of us craved for Tonkatsu again. I thought of trying another Tonkatsu place but WB prefer sticking to the one we have ate before, so we ended up at Ma Masion Tonkatsu again.

While it is a little pricey, the deep fried pork cutlet is fried to perfection, neither too fatty nor oily. It’s topped with a generous portion of kombu (kelp) and oroshi (grated daikon radish), and served with a (refillable!) side of cabbage, all of which help to cut through the rich taste of the pork cutlet. You get the choice of brown or white rice on the side, which serves as the perfect complement to the dish.
