Ordered the tonkutsu garlic chilli soup for the volcano pork nabe - it was a little oily and not too spicy. Pork portions were pretty generous and the meat was very tender. Beef steak toban had vinegar in it, so it depends on whether you like your steak savoury and sour at the same time. Rice was an additional $2 while the mini chawanmusi was $3 (tasty but very small portion). Food is pretty pricy, especially with service tax and GST.
I actually really enjoyed this. The beef was very nicely grilled, and the crispy fried garlic chips + sauce made the rice so flavourful. Tasted like something in an atas restaurant even though it was actually quite affordable. I'll be back for this!
Price: $15.90

Pork Katsu deep-fried to a crunchy first bite yet tender perfection. The sides and complimentary selection of salmon sashimi completed the meal to satisfaction.
not complaining though #dinner
