I've tried several famous kway chap and it remains a stretch to separate the special from the normal. "Lor" food can only be carried so far. What made this stand out was the kway, which was better than the usual.

Heard mixed review on their KC but today decided to give a try. Actually not to bad but I find their portion really too little for the price even though I top-up for additional intestines

[Update: To-Ricos had unfortunately decided to close down their Ciyuan outlet in July 2018, but you can still get taste of the original version at Old Airport Road!]

Set right within the neighbourhood, it's a great place to head to for a simple lunch with the family, especially if you live within the vicinity. So glad I didn't have to travel to Old Airport Road to satisfy this 'kway chap' cravings!! But we did have to queue just a little bit during the 12pm lunch hour on a Saturday, but certainly didn't wait for long!

Ordered the Mixed Platter priced at $12.00, with an additional $0.70 add-on for fish cakes (a personal 'must have' when it comes to kway chap!) and the individual 'kway' or rice at $0.50 per portion, to share amongst 3 people - just right to fill our tummies for brunch. Especially loved the texture of the 'kway' that was pretty well-cooked in my opinion, and with the exception of the eggs that we felt were a little too dry, we definitely enjoyed the meal altogether! Loved that the intestines weren't 'smelly' and in fact seemed like it'd absorbed all the sauces sufficiently (yumz)

Though it isn't the best I've had thus far, would still go again for a quick way to satisfy my 'kway chap' cravings!

A good offshoot from the Old Airport Road stall. Here the queue is shorter and yet the taste is similar. Yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 May 6
