Jumped at the chance to try Tsujiri’s limited edition item when they launched a flash 1-for-1 promotion!! This is the warabimochi parfait ($9.80). With a choice between matcha or vanilla, we got one of each. The matcha was dense and creamy, striking a good balance between sweet and bitter. The vanilla was a little icy but richly flavoured! The soft serve is layered with sweet whipped cream, rice crispies and (what tasted like hojicha) pudding. I was a little surprised because I expected more substantial / quality toppings for the steep price point, but these added dimension in both taste and texture. My faaavourite part of this parfait is the warabi mochi!! Tsujiri nailed the jelly consistency perfectly, and I enjoyed both the matcha and kinako.

I really enjoyed the soft pillow chiffon cake which comes apart easily enough to be eaten with a spoon and yet not crumbly. It also worked well to soak up some matcha soft serve goodness. I also like extra crunch that the cereal adds to the parfait. I'm not a fan of red bean usually but this one was mild enough for my liking.

I really appreciate the strong matcha flavour. It not too bitter either so it satisfies my cravings for something slightly sweet too. Texture wise - it's not the best. I've had creamier soft serves and this one was a little too icy for my liking. I'm not sure if it's a once-off thing or the norm. Overall not my favourite matcha soft serve in Singapore but it did satisfy my cravings.

I had been passing by this place many times and finally make the effort to stop by and try their matcha.

The float comes with the match or vanilla ice cream on top, with iced matcha at the bottom. The iced matcha doesn’t taste sweet so if you prefer, you can go for the one with milk added. $6.80

The chocolate coating for this was super duper thick, the actual almond itself felt smaller than usual😹 There's no sugar added to it at all, which perhaps explains why it really carries no sweetness, except for the faint cocoa fragrance and the strong vegetal matcha notes.

Great for the sweltering heat and not diluted such that it melted too fast. Tasted really thick and rich!
