First time trying this instead of the usual pork rib soup and totally love it. The pork slices are tender and ample of pieces so I had a good time savoring it. Much easier to eat as compared to pork rib as well. Take the extra peppery soup for the extra kick!

Fresh and good! Take the extra peppery soup for more kick!

Second time here and they just started a new menu this month! Bah kut teh is still as delicious with three different levels of peppery spiciness! When they refill the soup, they also make it a point to check which level of spiciness we had ordered to refill the right soup. Their side dishes are also good! Tried the seafood tofu, kong ba pau, meat ball, vegetable, oyster omelette. You tiao is also a must order! Really crispy and fresh!

It’s uncommon to have Pork Cartilage on the menu for BKT stalls. It’s the first I’ve come across and so I ordered that to try. Also ordered the Spare Ribs - Fat. It’s also the first BKT stall that allows you to select if you want the Lean or Fat portion of the Spare Ribs.

The Pork Cartilage was a dismal 4 pieces (as seen in the picture, bowl on the right - it isn’t even huge pieces). The Spare Ribs was ok, did not “Wow” me.

I understand this stall was set up from the Ya Hua lineage. Unsure I’d have this again. Chances are I might just return to their (parent) BKT instead.

Since the positive experience with their food and service, I ordered the braised Pork Knuckle again. This time, I decided to try their Braised Pig Skin. The pig skin was ok, very soft and smooth, and I liked that they followed the instructions given - to omit the sauce/gravy. Today’s Pig Knuckle was very collagenous! 😋

I love that Tuan Yuan has the uncommon items such as the Pig Knuckle, Cartilage and Skin on their menu. I ordered this via delivery and requested that they omit the sauce/gravy. I was impressed that a staff from their stall actually called to verify on my special instructions since this dish usually is cooked with sauce and served as such. And so voila, this was delivered as per requested. The food was still warm despite without the sauce/gravy. The meat and skin was tender and moist. Plus, the Trotters had sufficient amount of meat and tendon, unlike other BKT stalls I’ve tried where, it was very much skin and bones. In addition, the overall portion of Trotter was generous (again vs other BKT stalls vis-a-vis price charged).
