The outlet I went to was at Bugis area...
Very thoughtful dessert. The waffle was precut before it was served to us. Was crispy up till the last bite. The devil was in the detail, there was a slice of thin waffle at the base of the ice cream to hold it so that it doesn't melt and affect the waffle too much.
The Houjicha Softserve with Yuan Yang Waffle ($14), which is essentially a half a plain and half a charcoal waffle, served with fruits and chocolate sauce decor, was a pleasant surprise to my tastebuds. The softserve is smooth and houjicha flavour is spot on in its taste without feeling too creamy or milky. The waffle is good as well with its crisp exterior that's soft and fluffy when cut into, although the whole yuan yang thing is more of a presentation gimmick to me as I do not taste nor feel any difference between the two types of waffles. Regardless, I do see myself returning, but perhaps to give their ice-cream flavours a go next time round. 🤤
This #burpplebeyond post features ice cream and waffles- one of the more worthwhile ones you’ll find around SG IMHO. My Yuan Yang waffles was dense with an evident charcoal aftertaste for 1/2 the made-fresh-upon-order batter. The stickier than usual ice cream scoops of coconut and salted caramel were an extended sweet hat trick to the great waffles.
On the other plain buttermilk waffles sits a gorgeous swirl of hojicha soft serve. While I found the mix of toppings slightly awkward and the soft serve less appealing compared to the ice cream scoops; this is easily overcome when I can freely select from a variety of toppings and soft serves/ ice cream next time round.
Getting our waffle fix here using Burpple Beyond. Super delicious soft serve with crispy waffle.

Ordered this customised dessert because of somewhat positive reviews about how ingenious it is to pair salted egg yolk sauce with gelato and waffles. And so other than the charcoal waffles (which is the only one that comes with the sauce), I topped it up with a Salted Caramel Gelato, and in all I paid S$12.00 for it.
The waffle is surprisingly crispy, with a tinge of bitterness. Those who like their waffles less fluffy will probably like this one. The Salted Caramel Gelato tasted rich, not outstandingly special, but there are some parts in the scoop that were clumpy.
Not too sure if this combination is the most decadent one, because I got a bit “gelak” slightly past midway. Maybe it’s not a good idea to pair salted with salted. When all else fails, getting a cup of coffee will cleanse the taste buds a little, so the overall satisfaction is not in the reds.
Wanted to go for the Acai Soft-Serve but they didn't have it and thus ended up with this rather gimmicky soft-serve in a cup instead. It comes with a number of cute toppings; pieces of sugar art dusted in gold, blue cookie crumbs, torched marshmallow and popcorn — the stuff that children dreams are made of. The soft-serve is relatively smooth, though could have been creamier; milky but on the slightly sweeter side. Still, probably something that would fit those who are looking for some soft-serve for the 'gram.
The melted marshmallows (smores) and our chosen ice cream flavour of dark chocolate were a perfect match of sweet and bitter. Roasted perfectly, the gooey chewiness of the marshmellows paired well with the crispy, fluffy waffles and smooth ice cream to make for a very yummy dessert 👍🏼

This pretty dessert is very affordably priced, considering also there are lots of waffle cubes as its base, and dense brownies on its sides too. The lavender petals added light floral notes to the softserve, which on its own were kinda icy and lacked sufficient Houjicha punch. I didn't really like the lavender petals which added distraction to the texture of this dessert, but overall it's a nice and affordable place to chill the weekday afternoons away.
Who would have ever thought of a combination like this?! They complement so well and I love the flavours offered at Twenty Grammes! :')
Not particularly nice. The cookie dough taste was lacking.
I think the scoop ice creams are better. Go for those instead.
So so ice cream. Nothing to shout about.
We'd to order waffle + ice cream as we're told that we can't change to the flavours we wanted from the menu.
No presentation skill to me. Too bare. Some toppings would be good.
Waffle is nice though.
Cake understands.
It's that time of the year we poor students get super busy again. Save me?
With brownie bites and lavender petals. Very pretty dessert ^^ Felt that the hojicha taste could be stronger..
Spotted this bowl of Belgium waffles and soft serve at @twentygrammes.
I love love love this waffle because it is a combination of the regular waffle batter + charcoal batter + chocolate batter. The chocolate drizzle makes the waffle all the more great and enjoyable and the edges are pretty crisp! Would definitely return here 💗
If only a waffle can come with five scoops of ice cream, I wouldn't have a problem choosing the flavours 😹 ! And the charcoal waffles is served alongside some salted egg sauce. Marring sweet and savory together, the graininess of the salted egg coats over the tongue, followed by the smooth texture of the ice cream, it is matchmake in heaven.

Best of both worlds. A combination of belgian and charcoal waffles topped with homemade milk softserve. Pour on your right amount of chocolate fudge. A smoothing tea break for a weekday afternoon.
[$15] Post-dinner dessert where the ice cream choices were uncoordinated because he chose whatever he wanted (p.s I chose the baileys). Crispy and fluffy waffle topped with Nutella and torched marshmallows made for a decadent but satisfying treat!
