A simple and classic Italian dessert, the affogato is made with double scoops of plain vanilla ice cream and a shot of hot espresso. Douse the ice cream in espresso coffee to create a creamy, frothy dessert.

Bun-derful cute dessert shaped and served like a traditional steamed bao. The "skin" is made with chrysanthemum white chocolate with a tangy filling of yuzu lemony mousse and matcha sponge. Resting on a biscuit base, the flavours were light and came well together though the "skin" was a tad too thick and sweet for my liking.

Spicy Crab Omelette ($18)
6oz White ($5)

Savoury and spicy, the satisfying plate of fluffy omelette came with crab meat mixed in spicy mayo sauce and tobiko. My morning egg fix was completed with a earthy, nutty and medium-bodied cup of Flat White.

※Ming Jian Kueh ($8) ~ Awes0me, even he likes
※Pear Alm0nd Tart ($7.50) ~ average ※Iced Cappuccin0 ($6.50) ~ a lil's0ur 😅 ※Earl Grey Ch0c0late ($6) ~ fragrant yet n0t 0verly sweet, wish it was a lil' thicker 😉

I hardly leave reviews, but this one made me determined to start my first Burpple review.

Read Daniel Food Diary and came for this “Man Jian Kue” Cake, tagged salted caramel and peanut butter.
1 word, DISAPPOINTING.
The cake is not fresh; I guess its been kept in fridge for long. The layers of the crepe are thick, wet, no flavours at all. I can only taste the bad soggy peanut and cream after all. Salted Caramel? I doubt... $8 per slice, i’D rather pay additional $1 to eat Lady M.
And they can’t even make a very basic honey lemon... Diluted lemonade with no honey at all? Maybe honey is too expensive... please improve you food quality if you decide to hire food blogger for advertisement...

From Two Bakers' latest outpost at Teck Chye Terrace, which takes over the former premises of the now-defunct Scissors Paper Stove.

Gave their new local-inspired bakes a try; shaped to look like a Pau, the Bao Zi comes with elements such as Chrysanthemum White Chocolate Mousse, Yuzu, Lemon, and Matcha Sponge. Whilst the lemon and yuzu elements were able to provide a hint of zestiness against the sweetness of the white chocolate mousse, the matcha sponge felt rather overwhelmed by all the other dominant flavours around it. The white chocolate mousse, though mostly sweet, also comes with a rather mellow hint of Chrysanthemum that helps to provide some contrast against the sweetness; an item that would pair well with a cup of hot tea by the side.
