This was bomb. Bomb because we didn't expect this to be the crowd's favourite. Quite an innovative take on sweet potato fries that actually worked well; crisp sweet potatoes that are naturally sweet and earthy that matches well with the umami flavour that Mentaiko is known for.

Reminded me of army stew and this was enjoyable. I probably took a little too much soup from my friend who was having this as her main. It went really well with my bibimbap. Nothing beats rice with soup!

This came with an assortment of ingredients such as spicy chicken carrots, spinach, mushrooms topped with gochujang dressing and sesame oil. I enjoyed it but felt like a dish that can be easily replicated at any Korean resto.

🍴Korean-Western fusion cafe at Kovan offering a asian twist on classic mains. Amidst a competitive cafe scene, felt like the flavours could be bolder/ more interesting to truly make an impression.

𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐨 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (4 ⭐️; $11.90) - Probably the only dish worth mentioning! Enjoyed the crispy and naturally sweet fries. They were good eaten alone but also with the piquant mentaiko sauce (though I wished for a bigger portion of this!)

𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 (3 ⭐️; $18.90) - Was highly disappointed that the ‘chicken bockwurst sausage’ was the salty and artificial-tasting frozen-supermarket kind 😅. The sourdough tasted more like regular toast while the beans, bacon, mushrooms, mixed greens were pretty standard with no real depth of flavour. The saving grace was the creamy scrambled eggs. Overall, there are better big breakfast options around at similar price points.

𝐅𝐮 𝐛𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐛 (3.5 ⭐️; $13.90) - Homecooked style bibimbab with a colourful array of vegetables, well-poached oozy egg, and spicy sliced chicken. Nothing spectacular; a comforting meal doused with a relatively strong sesame-gochujang sauce.

I love how this cute cafe is a mix between western and korean😍

Ordered the
- truffle fries ($10.90)
- bibimbap ($13.90)
- fu korean spaghetti ($14.90)
- yuzu cold brew cream ($6.50)

I really liked the food here because I felt that the price is affordable and the food was delicious🥰 Not being a huge coffee lover, I enjoyed the yuzu coffee alot!! (even tho you might not get used to it the first few sips cuz citrus + sth bitter haha😅)

Would definitely come again and recommended to friends staying near kovan as its easily accessible😇 Ratings 9/10!!
