A really interesting name, if you think about it’s 2 interpretations. I don’t know if this is primeval, but I’d have to admit this crazily delicious combo of smoked brisket, ratatouille, and cheddar did have me throwing all eating etiquettes to the wind, reaching right in with my (yes sanitized ok) hands, and demolishing this with abandon. Would I call this the most fundamental of bagelwiches to try? If you consider the Novena outlet’s emphasis on smoked meats, made in-house btw, then yes: it’s utterly essential to try this. The smoked brisket’s gotta be among the most flavourful ones I’ve had. It’s got that lovely, burnt bits and caramelised crust, nicely seasoned without masking that meaty, beefy flavour, and a good ratio of tender meat to melt-in-your-mouth fat. Did I mention how generous they are with the brisket as well? Put that together with a stellar ratatouille with roasted capsicums, and some melted, stringy cheddar, and of course their fabulous handmade bagels — you’ve got mega hearty, winner of a bagelwich here, one that I’d say showcases the best of what TMBH has to offer.

Got the feather on a sea salt bagel. It was decent but we felt that it was a bit too salty for our liking but the chicken was not dry, so plus points for that!

We chose a blueberry bagel for our schmear and I liked it! The mild blueberry taste, coupled with the cream cheese which was pretty light, was good :)

Loved this! Smoked turkey, salami, honey baked ham, mortadella, green & black olives, cheddar, balsamic/herb vinaigrette on an all sorts bagel. Really enjoyed the hint of sweet from the vinaigrette!

Getting our hands on these gourmet bagels 🥯 what’s do you like to have in your bagels? A healthier choice like avocado and halloumi or perhaps a more savoury ham and cheese options?

We couldn’t quite decide and get 3 to share.
• Guacamoly ($10), spinach camembert, guaca, sunny side and tomato
• Hawaiian ($10), scallion scrambled, cheddar, crispy bacon and smoked aioli
• Lox ($12), smoked salmon, mustard seed, boiled egg, onion and tomato

We ordered (top to bottom) :
💕Hawaiian : everyone favourite.. how to say no to Spam 😆.
Bagel served with spam, cheddar , sunny egg and caramelised pineapple.
💕Gucamoly : the healthiest version among three of it for me 😊.
Bagel served with wilted spinach, Camembert, guaca and sunny egg.
Bagel served with smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, pickled mustard seeds and hard boiled egg..
It’s very filling, we ordered 3 bagels and share among 4 people.
And for the taste, pic speak a thousand words.
Happy weekend 😊..

Sandwiched between toasted halves of a hand-rolled garlic bagel, Two Men Bagel House’s Hawaiian ($10) was foolproof - certainly a safe option and very well-executed. Loaded with spam, cheddar, sunny egg and caramelised pineapple; I had decided to switch things up in the classic breakfast-style order by adding Smoked Brisket (+$5) in the mix and removed the pineapple. Smoky, juicy and just full of caramelized flavour, the beef brisket really stole the show but didn't seem to overshadow the other ingredients in my opinion. Admittedly, it was not date-friendly food (greasy hands and all). A messy and meaty affair, the combination was so satisfying! Think big bites of thick yet soft spam complementing the usual staple items - the egg, savoury cheddar cheese and a layer of crunchy greens with a hint of spice from the sauces.
