I think I just found my new favourite at Two Men Bagel House! When we went at 1pm, almost all the bagels flavours were sold out (!!) but thankfully we managed to get our hands on a seeded bagel. We ordered the Warthog, which I think is a new addition to their menu? And it was sooo good ๐ I love the Asian flavours in this bagel - thick cuts of smoked pork belly with char siew sauce, cucumber, onion and coriander. And their bagels were freshly made and toasted ๐๐ผ
The thick cuts of smoked salmon paired beautifully with the cream cheese. The bagel was also sturdy enough to hold everything in. The only drawback is that it is extremely filling and becomes difficult to finish in one sitting - but perhaps not that much of a downside as it is conveniently cut in halves so you save one half for later!
for my brunch, i chose a mix of smoked brisket, spam and sunny side egg on a cheddar bagel. the result was a deliciously hearty and wholesome meal! i almost couldnโt fit the whole bagel into my mouth but when i did everything came together so nicely. the contrasting soft texture of spam against the thick brisket went so well with the heartiness of the egg and cheddar. the cheddar bagel was fluffy and soaked up any broken yolk.
though it was slightly on the more expensive side (for a student like me ๐ฟ), i think switching your bagel with a friend to try different flavours would be a fun option!
the people there was also very friendly and made my visit more enjoyable and chill ๐
generous portions, good vibes and a multitude of choices for everyone - whatโs there not to love ๐
iโd recommend going with a group of friends so everyone can get different flavours & combinations to share around and try!!! ๐๐ป

The TMBH at Novena is more specialised in their smoked affair. Customised my bagel this time. I had the smoked brisket and sunny side nestled between 2 toasty sesame bagel halves. Texture was great. But brisket was on the bland side. I should have thrown in some cheddar or bacon to bring out more flavours. Get their house recipe bagels instead of customising (if youโre as bad as me haha). They add in sauces for those and it will make all the difference. Amazing chill vibes with the alfresco dining style tho.
