Used our Burpple membership to get ourselves some bowls of donburi at Umi Nami! Umi Nami already sells pretty affordable bowls of Japanese dons with premium ingredients such as cubes of raw salmon, tuna and unagi. I had the Special Salmon Don which featured a bed of rice topped with a generous heap of lightly charred salmon, the restaurants special mayonnaise and tobikko. For the price point even without the Burpple promo, it was super value-for-money and the portion size was decent! Only gripe was that the mayo at times overpowered the flavour of the salmon. However, still a very scrumptious bowl and we definitely will be back for more in the future!

Definitely bigger than we expected! 😂 Broth was decent, while the clams were pretty juicy though not as sweet. Still pretty value and good as a sharing appetiser.

Had better quality salmon during my first visit, so was a little disappointed with this bowl. Scallops were still pretty fresh. Got our bowls all 1 for 1 with Burpple Beyond!

2nd time at Umi Nami. V good value with Burpple Beyond 1 for 1. The rice bowls dont disappoint! Yummy

Scallop is topped with truffle, salmon is fresh and tender. Nothing Beats having a good bowl of Don with the 1 for 1 deal 😜

Got an Aburi Salmon Scallop Don ($17) and an Unagi Don ($15). Decent food - loved the sauce on the Salmon Don and the Unagi was cooked well. The scallops and salmon were seated straight in the bowl so they tasted fresh. We also got a Chuka Idako ($4)which was surprisingly huge - there was one which was nearly the size of the bowl itself. For $2 you can also complete a meal by adding miso soup and edamame. The edamame is lightly salted but the miso soup is too salty. Otherwise, no GST means a good deal!
