Originally, bakso or Indonesian beef meatball soup is served with noodles in it. But Uncle Penyet does not do that! The broth tastes fine and the meatball is fatty (for me is good but this is a personal preference). It’s a small portion and I added rice to make it a meal.

One of the best ayam penyet with cheaper price! The chicken is a little bit oily and the sambal is not so spicy, but overall it’s tasty that I can eat this every day 🀀

Batter of fish was flavourful and crispy with fresh generous fish meat as well!!

π”π§πœπ₯𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐞𝐭 has just arrived in Sumang Walk! Oh yayyy!! Punggol Bayviews residents are in luck! We were attracted to their stall by its fragrantly grilled foods. With its wide range of dishes, we were spoilt for choices to choose. Today we decided to try one of their signature dish - Ayam Panggang and it’s amazingly delicious! Chicken drumstick were huge, perfectly grilled and super juicy! Take away cost an additional 50cents but it’s all worth it as they were very thoughtful to separate the curry and chilli sauce in a separate container to prevent the rice from turning too soggy. Curry were fragrant and sedap πŸ‘πŸ»! We highly recommend you to try it as it’s so superb! β €

Was in NUS to run an errand recently and decided to explore the campus for some food. Wanted to go for Li Ji’s Chee Cheong Fun since it has a little bit of traction online but they only start serving at 3pm and so I got the next best thing instead.

The Ayam Penyet here definitely does not disappoint! It was crispy on the outside yet manages to lock in its juices, keeping the meat moist and tender. I also like the taupok that came along with it; a little weird to say that a taupok is flavourful but it sure was! Also glad that they drizzle curry over the rice and that the chilli was not too spicy. Finally, Li Ji’s drinks seem to be popular with the uni kids and my Yuan Yang Peng did not disappoint too. The delicate balance between tea and coffee was achieved in this cuppa!
