Eh this was nice haha uni was tasty and the set includes Wagyu too (which tasted good w the salt). Small unassuming shop located in a slightly dingy mall haha eh but food was nice. The burpple 1-1 set was really quite worth it I must say :-) since uni is known to be rather ex

Tucked away in the basement of The Plaza, Beach Road this joint is underrated. The uni is so fresh. With 1-1 Burpple we ordered the Shiro $75 and Bafun $65. Personally, I prefer the Bafun with a creamier soft texture. The Shiro has a fuller/harder texture. Happy with both orders as it’s one of the freshest in town. Ordered sashimi, grilled bone marrow and cold noodles too. Total bill for 3 pax is about $283. Well worth it cuz it’s super satisfying!

Food was tasty but the mini uni bowl and beef portion was very small and not filling. Best not go on an empty stomach unless you’re planning to order other mains.

Uni itself wasn't particularly impressive. There were options to choose the types of uni for the meal.

As they were flown in from Japan, their quality was supposed to be fresher. However to our palate, we felt that the increase in price did not translate to a proportionate increase in quality.

The star of the show for us however was the tuna sashimi. The fattiness that oozed out of the fish was transcendental. We'd recommend ordering the sashmi if you're there.

The location of the place itself is not that accessible from any public transportation. But if you're driving, then it should not be an issue for you.

Together with Ikura, Tobiko and tiny silver fish, this bowl of Uni-Chirashi was a pleasure for palate.
The ribeye steak in our set lunch was a good match, especially with those crispy garlic chips and sautéed mushrooms.
They also offered fresh sashimi to complete the meal. Our salmon belly and Kajiki were just great, chunky and on point in firmness.

Can’t say no to fresh Uni, ikura and tuna. All in one mouth!
