Loved discovering the different types of coffee served at Shift!!! It’s a tiny coffee bar with some seats outside to chill while watching cars drive by. The barista was really friendly, recommended us drinks according to our preferences :) Also, $3.50 for a cup of good joe in a chill cbd spot, what more could you ask for? 😂

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Shift (used to be Upside Down Coffee Alternatives) has one of the best coffee in SG. REALLY. It’s so nutty and wholesome with oat milk and the aroma of their coffee lingers on your tongue with every sip. I LOVEEEEEEE.

I really liked the white! It had a very smooth finish, and the coffee flavours came through really nicely.

The filter coffee was great too. I can’t remember the name of the beans I chose, but the guy at the counter did say that it was gin-aged. It was very pleasant to drink, with interesting notes coming through :)

Looking back, the Burpple price probably made me sway a little towards the positive side but I wasn’t exactly raving about my Iced Mocha. It was kind of flat...? I think that’s the word to best describe it. I liked that it had a nice chocolatey aftertaste but I liked Sarah’s drink a lot better – an iced white with oat milk. Though she did say usually it tasted better.Overall, I don’t mind going back if it’s in the area, cos it’s $3.50 per coffee with Burpple! Though, maybe I’ll try the oat milk next time round HAHA

The long black ($4) uses beans from Laos, giving a full-bodied flavour that is chocolatey and lightly spiced. The flat white ($5) is a tad milder, using beans from Papua New Guinea with hints of malt and nuts. Was really impressed with how cleanly the coffee came through! The cups are on the small side, but definitely of high quality.

Literally, it’s also like drinking milk stained with a touch of matcha. The matcha was SO WEAK in this like idgi what am I paying for I make better matcha milks at home. I would like to say I’m kidding, but this has to be the worst matcha latte I’ve ever had — even bux does it better. Can’t honestly say there’s any reason I’ll wanna come back again.
