Nacho Mama’s Nachos ($29)

Must order dish! There is generous amounts of pulley cheese and guacamole.

There ain't nothing 'poor' about this scrumptious burrito bowl -- not in the taste, nor the price HAHA. Luckily I had #burpplebeyond to help me with 30% off the ENTIRE MENU, including drinks!

The burrito bowl came with the galbi short rib, which was well-marinated with slightly-sweet Korean spices. The meat itself looked unassuming as it was only about 1-2cm thick and looked like normal braised pork belly. However, the slices were surprisingly tender to bite into!

Also had the Kimchi Carnitas Fries ($19) here again but I've raved about it before so I'll refrain from sounding like a broken record.

• FISH TACOS WAS SO 😍... huuge piece of crispy fleshy fish
• Seasoned fries a solid 8/10 - very large portion & very well seasoned
• ribeyes fajita - wide variety of sides to go with your tortilla but the beef was a bit tough :/

(We screwed up bc our total before gst/svr charge was $57 but you need to hit $60 to use Burpple’s 30% off so booo us)

“Where did the weekends go to?”.... it must be all the delicious food I had over good conversations.

First it started with the reliable cheese quesadillas from Vatos Urban Tacos to kick off Friday. Nothing like this chain fusion Mexican joint that always serves up tasty and filling tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and even fajitas. With Burpplebeyond savings it gave us another reason to indulge in drinks too.

Then another bout of Latin American cuisine on Saturday evening. When I gladly found out that one of my favourite places in Jewel has reopened and is back on Burpplebeyond.

Sunday lunch at TungLok got us exciting to give their dimsum a chance, away from our usual go to: imperial treasure but sadly this was the only miss out of the 3 consecutive days of Burpplebeyond redemptions. Blame the picky palate so attune to the named competitor’s dim sum, i was reeled by (too much) egg in the Malaya steamed cake with an absence of brown sugar fragrance. Then the vegetarian crystal dumplings looked good but wasn’t crystal smooth tasting. Lastly our egg tarts were run out of the mill decent.

Came w pieces of kimchi. It tastes like how it should be. Not up my alley tho - perhaps because I’m not a huge fan of kimchi. Would just skip this next time.

Tacos with a Korean twist! Usually a meat person but fish has been my go to option when I’m here!
