"Chilli Krab"

Shop name:
Vegan Burg

The chilli crab sauce was on point, sufficiently spicy and not too syrupy sweet -- pretty good for a sauce from a fast food joint. Lot's of greens help to add to the texture while the stalk of coriander lends a nice herb-y touch.

The style of buns used here is on the dense side and it's started to feel rather heavy halfway through the burger.

The taste of the "crab" patty is decent, not much flavour of crab. Texture-wise, it reminds me of sotong balls. If not for the crunchy exterior, it would be rather one dimensional experience.

I liked the crispy fried mushrooms that were juicy inside but the batter had a rather odd flavour. Also the serving was a lot smaller than expected so it doesn't seem to be worth this price.

The textures were on point with the patty being crispy along with the fresh vegetables giving that crunch. However the flavours were really off for me. I got creamy mushroom but the patty's flavours overpowered the cream and there was barely mushroom. My seaweed fries barely had seaweed as well. I'm not a fan but I guess I would return if the flavours were more accurate and balanced.

Creamy Shroom Burger ($9.90) (best selling burger) can be add-on for a set meal include seaweed fries (regular) and choice of drink (raspberry lemonade). I felt that their cream sauce (dairy-free) is not that strong for me and i did enjoy their cream cream so much. But their patty for creamy shroom burger was quite hard to chew and didn't enjoy it that well. I also like to eat burger and fries also. It's quite filling burger set meal for me but I didn't finish their seaweed fries at all. Some part of fries didn't seasoned well for seaweed toppings and it's not that salty or oily aftertaste even without seaweed toppings. The drink (raspberry lemonade) was quite complemented well with food and quite got that mixed taste between sour and sweet.

Cost: Forgotten the set meal price
Description: Set meal comes w sizzling borcolli n a refreshing raspberry drink.

Is hearty n healthy meal. Recommend to try the lightly salted fried borcolli. Crunchy texture.

I’ve tried many burgers at VeganBurg, but the Avocado Beetroot Burger is by far my favourite. I like that the team tends to be very generous with the avocado, and the soy patty is very meaty. Overall, it tastes really fresh and hearty! Texture is also on point. However, the points go down a bit when they don’t add sufficient sauce (rarely though!), because then the burger gets a little dry and the flavours of the vegetables, bun and patty taste disjointed. Seaweed fries are always thick, crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside (on most good days), but would be even better with even more seaweed seasoning as the amount of seasoning tends to be inconsistent across all the fries. Drinks-wise, I personally like the Ginger Lemonade and would recommend it, but it may be a bit spicy because of the ginger and it tastes pretty unique; orange juice would be a safer bet.
