Heard a lot of great reviews about this Cantonese dimsum place so gave it go at it’s second outlet at Chinatown Point. Ordered quite a variety but will review some of my favs from the meal.

Har Gao: Juicy and packed with fresh prawns, it also had a stock/sesame oil mixture packed within that made it even more flavorful

Steamed Seafood Roll: One of the more random items we ordered that turned out great. Stuffed with chicken, crabstick, fish maw and seafood paste. The filling was super flavorful and beancurd skin was delicate.

XLBs: More like XL XLBs once again packed to the brim with well seasoned meat but would’ve liked more soup to slurp.

Egg Tarts: If you’re lucky, they would serve you a freshly baked batch and the crust is the traditional sort that’s eggy/buttery but the custard filling was so silky and tender and still had a slight wobble to it.

The carrot cake here is steamed, giving it a different texture from the typical pan fried style, but still tasty due to the savoury cured meat and natural sweetness of the radish. The carrot cake is accompanied by a light soy sauce as well as xo sauce for dipping, but tastes good plain as well. I also like the 红油抄手 here, although it's also a healthier version with mostly vinegar and garlic instead of chilli oil.

Ordered a lot of dim sum at victor’s kitchen. First time trying the youtiao chee cheong fun and I like how crispy the youtiao was. The milk tea is rlly unique also cos they leave the ice outside the cup. But we were stu so we lifted the cup up at one point and couldn’t put in back inside the bowl of ice. The egg tart in the sunshine plaza outlet is slightly nicer though cos it was runnier. But yes love the food here!

Is this the real life, is this just fantasy?

First time here even though we have been to the sunshine plaza branch. The quality of the food is the same for both places.

My only regret? Not enough stomach space for everything on the menu. Roarrrrrr.

- King Prawn Dumpling: this has the most generous portion of prawn! Must order!
- Prawn Spinach Dumpling: The ingredients are so fresh! Must order if you like veggie! 🐷
- Phoenix claws: the claws are smaller compared to other places but it’s braised until just nice!
- Xiao Long Bao: it’s a lot bigger than usual Xiao Long bao, and a lot of meat inside
- Golden Egg yolk Lava Bun: we all agreed this is the best lava bun. Must order if you are here then you will know what we mean❤️❤️
- Crispy Golden Shrimp Roll: up to standard
- Queen Size Siew Mai: comes in 4 pcs, the rest all come in 3 pcs. Nice also
- Teow Cheow Style Steamed Dumpling: has lots of turnip. The ingredients felt so fresh and comes together really v well! Another must order!! 😋😋

🤩Overall rating: 9/10
