Handcrafted hand pulled noodles (拉面) and Knife-shaved noodles (刀削面) by former Crystal Jade Senior Chef and are reasonably priced at $5 per 🍜. My favourite would be the Ma-la Pork noodles, while got kick, but it's not too spicy and it gives you a numbing after-taste. I like the texture of the noodles and the braised pork has the right ratio of meat to fats. If you prefer the healthier and dry option, you can try the tomato egg noodles.

I visit this place for lunch at least twice a week, and this is definitely something I would strongly recommend to you. 😋

had the beef la mian, shan xi cold noodles, meat bun and dumplings in spicy sauce. beef la mian was a nice, comforting bowl with a flavourful broth, definitely an easy favorite. the dumplings in spicy sauce were especially tasty; really liked the soft, thin dumpling skin encasing the meat. the chili oil deserves a shout out too! very fragrant with just the right amount of spice. 😍

overall, good, authentic chinese food done right. also really affordable (at $5 or less per dish), definitely worth another visit 😊

8.5/10 💫

This bowl of beef la Mian($5) is not too bad with springy noodles and slurpilicious broth. Clear but packed full of flavor. Didn’t like the thinly sliced beef as they’re not very tender. For that price point, I would say this is quite worth. 🤭😋
Thanks to @helloshaunsim for the recommendation!

I got the shaved noodles instead of the La Mian and was impressed by how they have managed to get the shape of the noodles spot on that it gives the correct amount of texture that one would prefer. I am also impressed by the generosity of the amount of sliced beef that I got with my bowl of noodles. But the one thing that I preferred most was the broth! My first sip sent me to beef heaven; you could taste that the broth was made from beef bones and meat instead of the usual pork broth one would usually get in places elsewhere. The broth was clear and very flavourful, although it might be a tad bit salty.

TLDR; good beef soup noodles!

$5 Mala intestines noodles
$3.50 肉夹馍 (1pc)

WAITING TIME: 5 min (fair bit of queue on a weekday night past 8.30PM)

- Authentic taste, cooked by China staff
- The pork intestines tasted amazing!
- Loved the Mala
- The meat bun is great but not cheap

* Need to remember to request for 刀削面 upon ordering, otherwise it would be the default lamian

Most people come here for the lamian (or shaved noodles, and yes it’s good stuff) but I thought this meat bun deserves a shout-out too! Imagine a pulled pork burger but Chinese style: The pork, with the right lean meat to fat ratio, was stewed in a savoury-sweet sauce until tender. And the buns soaked up the goodness of the meat while still remaining crisp on the outside. A bit pricey at $3.50 but very shiok and surprisingly quite filling!
