This stall has been around for some time but I have never had the opportunity to try out their food.
The noodles has the right amount of firmness and springiness, and are topped with tender slices of beef.
But the real star of this dish would be the soup. Don't let the clear soup fool you, its flavour packs a punch. Moreover, the flavour profile of the soup is rather unique; it reminds me of the dishes that I had in China. You would be hard pressed to name another local place which serves beef noodles with a similar flavour profile. 😋
Most of the people eating here are patronising this store and I can see why. Forgot to asked for the knife cut noodles which should have a more interesting texture to it. The soup was a little salty for my liking (but probably because I have been eating clean lately with little or no salt) but the flavour was amazing and the meat was quite tender. Loved the intestines. Different from the kway chap version or the mala xiangguo kind, probably braised in their own sauce and they gave so many that i think it is worth for the $3 paid. Next round will probably try the tomato and egg version, this time round to ask for the knife cut noodles instead.
The chili oil is the mild and crispy kind, not my fav
The tomato egg noodles were decent, it's got a palpable tang
Don't order their intestines without a mala soup base. As amazing as they are, the stench necessitates the mala to cover it so that you can enjoy the full glorious flavour of the intestines
Their filling is awesome. Full of meatiness and slightly sticky as well. Only gripe is there could be a bit more filling. 馍 was legit, theres the chew and the toasted exterior
One of my dining partners remarked he would travel back just for this
Severely underestimated them. Not a fan of beef noodles but the one here is pretty damn hard to fault. Beef was tender despite being lean, lamian had a nice chew, soup was so clean yet so flavourful. Must try!!!
PS dried ver available too, spam vinegar for max shiokness
Apparently not everyone is used to the spongy gluten. But this is a solid version, w the cleanness of the sauce shining alongside the slightly chewy noodles. Recommended!
