Lemon chicken, napa cabbage, cereal fish. Although this stall is run by ah bengs, I've always liked its variety of dishes. I miss my childhood food lemon chicken!

Yam Ring (δ½›η ΅ι£˜ι¦™) is my family's all-time favourite, probably cuz Teochews love yam! ❀❀❀ Almost a must-order at zichars ($18/22/26 - we had medium for 6pax) βœ”

Featuring a thin layer of batter fried to the perfect golden brown encasing a ring of earthy mashed yam, the natural sweetness of the yam is greatly enhanced by the fragrant batter. 🀀🀀🀀 The contrast in textures is also well-played - crispy exterior with a soft & smooth interior is always delightful! πŸ’•
.
Together with a generous amount of chicken chunks, mixed vegetables, mushrooms, prawns & cashew nuts, there's really nothing to not love about this dish! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ YAMMY!!!
.
We also ordered their Sambal Kangkong πŸ₯¬, butter squid πŸ¦‘ (which turned out to be Garlic Squid instead), Mixed Vegetables πŸ‘πŸ» & Black Pepper Fish 🐟, which totalled about $75. Standards seem to be deteriorating - looks like it's time to scout for other nearby zichar options! πŸ˜‚

(preferably in the north) this located next to nex shopping mall, is quite good $4 but small portion. Ding ji at Wan jin coffee shop opens till late night #jxeatsrecommend

An outlet of Yi Ji Hokkien Mee hidden in Wan Jin Coffeeshop that interestingly also has a KFC kiosk. Priced at a minimum of $5, it might seem a little pricey compared to others, but the quantity of prawns might justify for that. First time seeing surimi sticks in a plate of Hokkien Mee, with some pork slices.

A mix of yellow noodles and thin beehoon fried in a pork broth; although there was obviously a lack in wok hei, but the sweetness in pork broth made up slightly (though not fully). Be warned by the lingering spiciness of the sambal chili, pretty potent.

Enjoyed this plate of Sambal Squid (εε·΄θ‹δΈœ) ($10/15/20 - we had medium for 6pax) quite a lot! 😍😍😍 Did the sight of the sambal chilli set your heart (& mouth) on FIRE too? πŸ”₯

Liked the sambal sauce that went so well with rice 🍚 Albeit leaning towards the sweet side, it was still very flavourful! πŸ‘πŸ» Wished it could have been slightly more spicy for that fiery kick! 🌢

Texture of the squid was good too! πŸ’• Bouncy & chewy, it was definitely fresh & not overcooked. Together with the sweet & soft tomatoes, this dish was indeed a delight! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹
