Sometimes I just need to crank out a quick lunch before diving back into work and just don't want to think too much about what to eat - the layman's lament.
For that I head nearby for a plate of this Sambal Fried Rice ($5). The characteristic that I like the most here is that the rice really has the texture of being fried: the grains are hard yet still some moisture inside, it's served piping hot with the steam inside rising out as you stir, the vegetables add crunch and each spoon has the mouthfeel of spiciness from the sambal. Just a bite and not overpowering.
All in all its a nice, quick mid-day pick-me-up before heading back into the grind.
