Look at their Char Siew! Grilled to perfection! Can be more tender though.
How do you like your wanton mee?
Personally, in terms of noodles, Eng's is really better for the texture and the taste. Will be good if Wanton Seng mix the sauces instead of getting customers to mix it ourselves.
Would you pay $10 for Wanton Mee? Starting from $9.90, Seng's Noodle Bar is not your typical wanton mee store. They serve the wanton Mee with crispling pork belly and grilled char siew! You cna tell from the photos that their char siew looks quite different. There's wantons too but it's hidden inside.
What was well done - what tasted like double boiled free soup, crackling skin of the pork, chewy noodles, thin and smooth wanton skins and flavourful char siew.
What can be better is that they let you mix your own sauces which means that in and of itself, it is quite tasteless. The pork belly is nice but not super tender and soft.
Queued 20 mins for 2 pax.
For the price point, I may visit again if there are no queues.
Ok say real upon first taste it didnāt wow me but as I ate somemore the meats rlly grew on me and the wantons (both the boiled and fried ones) are so good!!! They are stuffed to the brim w ingredients and the fried ones arenāt oily at all so yay but found the noodles a bit dry???
We got 2 lunch bowls for the price of 1 at WANTON - Seng's noodles bar. š because we have access to the Burpple Beyond deals.
Ordered the Pork Belly Twosome Noodles ($10++) which consists of 4 pieces of pork belly Char-siew, 3 pieces of roasted crispy pork belly and 3 plump wantons. Everything was perfectly cooked here and it complement with each other perfectly. The Crispy Duck Noodles ($14++) was hearty as it consists of a huge drumstick and 3 pieces of wantons.

Finally, Iāve managed to take a prettier-looking photo of the wanton mee after 3 visits. This is my 3rd time here and I thought a review is still worthwhile because consistency is key to a good food establishment.
The -points this round was very much on the roast pork! Theyāre visibly more thinly sliced than before. I recall them being slightly thicker. Somehow, the base got a lilā more oily than I last recall it to be too. Other than these points, my tummy is happy the wantons remained juicy, the charsiew was as generous and the noodles were as springy as before!
Thankfully, the free-flows are still free-flowing! Free-flow items: Soup (no msg) held itās standards, pork lard as fragrant and crunchy as before! Definitely not any healthier than before - onus is on you to savour in moderation!
Noodles were okay, not that bland because of the gravy.
The roasted pork had a crackling skin.
Dumplings were so so.
Highlight was probably the pork belly char siew. It was tender and I saw it being torched so that the sides get charred.
Advice to go after 1pm once the lunch crowd dies down.
