My boyfriend loves bringing me to places that he has tried & thought I would enjoy it too! This lovely spread on the table is from Wei Ji Noodle House - one out of the many many stalls at Chinatown complex. What stood out here were the noodles! As I toss my wanton noodles ($3/$4), I noticed that the sauce is just simply made from some lard oil & soy sauce. Less is more indeed. The noodles were bouncy and had an eggy taste to it, but sadly, the accompanying ingredients were just average. Salmon sashimi is also served here. What amazed me is how the addition of fried shallots and oil worked with the salmon. At $4/serving, it's quite a steal to have your dosage of sashimi at a hawker centre!! #hawkerpedia
When i reached the stall can"t believe that the wonton noodle stall sell raw salmon wonton mee & raw wolf herring slice fishes. If those dun noe how to eat u can try the beef brisket & their wonton mee. Really miss this as the Chinatown food centre was closed for a month. Really crunchy raw fish and well mixed noodles make it a treat for any raw fish lovers.
