Portions here are small-medium size, salmon wasnt fresh and taste was only average. Not many seats in the common seating area on a weekend.

Thought this was a little bit of an odd combination, but it was the first thing on the menu so I gave it a try. It was indeed an odd combination 🧐 and there really weren’t much other ingredients in the bowl other than the medium sized slab of salmon, contrary to other reviews which stated they were generous with their ingredients (maybe due to my 30% off? Who knows!).

Taste wise it was very average, definitely edible even though the ingredients don’t quite go - fresh lettuce, mushrooms, salmon, soba.... The salmon skin was really tough, also had a little bit of scales that I had to spit out while eating.

I think $10 is waaay overpriced for this tiny bowl! I used the Burpple Beyond 30% off deal, making it $7 but it’s still overpriced in my opinion. I may come back (only with the Beyond deal) to give the other items a try and give this place another chance - perhaps I just picked the wrong dish this time round.

They serve great grain and poké bowls for the price, and the salmon poké here in particular, is fresh enough for the price. The brown rice is not dry at all which I enjoy. The egg is not super runny (I prefer it this way) and the highlight of this dish other than the poké would be the sauce.
.
However I think they need to revamp their ordering system, or maybe I should have used the custom order form instead. I requested for no corn yet the staff who prepared did not get the message that initially the corn was in the bowl. When the cashier saw it, he picked and threw the corn away - food waste! I noticed that this is not indicated in the receipt, hence the lack of communications here, and there was also no indication if the meal is for here or takeaway. I had to remind the staff not to pack the order for takeaway and incur plastic waste.

Veryyyyyyy gooooooood salmon poke bowl ($10). The soba had a tinge of sourness from its sauce which I really loved, and noodles were soft enough! Not too undercooked. I’d say the portion was deceivingly small but ended up being just right. A MAJOR DRAW BACK THOUGH.. is that the burpple 1-for-1 deal is only applicable to 2 dishes. One particular dish was $8, and drinks (either coconut juice or Coke Zero was priced at $2), however, if you use the burpple discount, they’ll charge you $18.90! Which absolutely didn’t make sense to me! That’s an additional overpricing of $8.90, and is almost as good as getting 2 sets for $20 without the burpple deal :-( Felt really disappointed at their schemes..

Ordered the aburi salmon with teriyaki chicken set and they were so generous with the ingredients we could barely finish it! Super big portion of chicken and salmon with avocado and soft boiled egg etc soooo good! A little spicy and a little expensive but it’s good! #burpple #burpplebeyond #burpplesg

Pleasantly surprised with the portion of salmon, which was fresh and tasty with the spicy mentaiko. With the chicken it made for a wholesome bowl. Yuzu had run out by 7pm.
