@whiskandpaddlesg is a little idyllic riverside cafe along Punggol Waterway. @jooeunchung and I love how their alfresco veranda overlooks the "river" and greenery. It does however always seem to rain cats and dogs whenever we visit πππ
I usually have their breakfast pan which gives you a little bit of everything --- 2 eggs cooked in your style, a smoked pork sausage, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, corn on the cob, green salad, sourdough bread and sea salt butter. The food is decent and satisfying.
Sambal seafood on a pizza may sound weird but it somehow works. We love the fiery spicy punch of the homemade nonya sambal on the thin crust pizza and it surprisingly works well with cheese.

An excellent chill spot to find serenity in the nature! I love that thereβs an outdoor seating facing the river and itβs pretty quiet around here.
Came here for brunch and I must say they have a good selection of menu, though itβs mostly western food! I had mushroom aglio olio and I thought it was a tad bland π§ other than that, their French toasts dipped in maple syrup was pretty solid and my friend liked the waffles β crispy on the outside and airy on the inside.
Iβd say the food here is pretty mediocre but Iβd love a tranquil escape from the bustling city crowd to brunch here anytime!

π½ Bacon French Toast I $16.80
π½ French Onion Chicken I $25.80
π½ Mushroom Aglio Olio I $14.80
π½ Salmon Benedict with Waffles I $14.80

Smoky, creamy and on point for mac & cheese.
First bite and you just feel that yes this is the one!
Rating: 4.5/5 (A lil out of the way for me)

Damn their waffles deserve a stand-alone post. I love the batter, its exactly how I love my waffles! They were on the sweeter side, but were so so fluffy n the vanilla taste was rly pronounced. We paired it with Anderson choc mint ice cream and it was perf ππ»ππ» the seasalt butter n maple syrup were great too, will try it plain next time! Too many options π
We were sian about the 45min wait, but the quality n portions of our food delighted us. The croissant was heated to a buttery perfection, and came w creamy scrambled eggs n flavourful mushrooms. Bf ordered french toast for his build-your-own-bfast n it was MAGNIFICENT. So fluffy n fragrant!!!
Genuinely disappointed at how tiny the cup of milkshake was when I saw the price. It was a standard vanilla milkshake, which is fine and all, but I think this drink is severely overpriced. I expected the cup to be bigger given that Iβm paying $9.90 (before GST) for this.
I personally donβt think it is worth the price at all but the appeal of this place lies in its atmosphere, itβs situated right beside the waters and romantically decorated - perfect for a date night dinner followed by a stroll along the waters. If you value ambience then this might be a good place to check out. I would probably avoid coming during peak periods though due to the long waiting times.
